Formally known as Heat Check 2.5, Attack On Tyrants sees Savior Monroe using his witty wordplay and sharp delivery over Don Bo's raw and bass heavy production. The two have perfect chemistry as the production is just as dynamic as Savior's rhyme style, but maintains the traditional sound of something akin to 90s hip hop. This project is old meets the new, smooth meets the raw, and golden era production meets modern day lyricism.

Don Bo and Savior Monroe have been working together for 15 years. They recorded their first project together titled "Heat Check" in Detroit over 10 years ago, but due to faulty technology and carelessness, the project is long gone and can never be heard. They attempted to come together and record something new several times since then, but it never materialized. Monroe and Don Bo recorded many singles together, but this is the first full length project since Heat Check.

Savior Monroe's inspirations such as Nas, Talib Kweli and Elzhi can be heard throughout Attack On Tyrants, and Don Bo's Pete Rock, DJ Premier and J Dilla inspirations bleed through the production. The two Detroit natives have put together something special, and it deserves to be heard worldwide. This is what many would consider "true hip hop" with no filler. If you enjoy the 90s golden era sound with a modern spin on it, this project is for you. Its raw, its heavy, its conscious, its political, its visual, its creative, its art. THIS is HIP HOP!
